Hello Lacy people,
I just wanted to update everyone on the recent past events and our upcoming events. This is a busy time of year for us with several events coming up as well as our annual officer elections. I will be sending out updates along to keep everyone posted.
On January 20th 2018 the Board of Directors & officers met for our monthly meeting. I reported that our status as a nonprofit / not for profit is reinstated and in good standing with the Secretary of State.
Our Tracking Seminar is almost here. We have a good size class already scheduled. As many of you know Marlo has had some illness in her family which may have led to some miscommunication between the association and you. We tried to fill the gap but if you signed up, and have not been contacted by Marlo regarding reservations and invoicing, please get in touch with Kenny Wall at email@example.com 281/844-0969 or Marlo Ondrej at firstname.lastname@example.org 210/288-0553.
The Hill Country or Lampasas Funday will be the last weekend in April. It will be held at Bar 17 Ranch again this year. The address is 2384 CR 2315 Lampasas, TX 76550. These events are geared for beginner dogs but finished dogs and owners can benefit as well. Something I have always loved about these events is the sharing of experience and knowledge by everyone there. The events will include classes and training on Blood Tracking, along with UBT testing, hog baying, cattle pinning, and coon treeing. We will have merchandise available for purchase. We look forward to seeing everyone there. Contact Todd Porter at email@example.com, Kenny Wall at firstname.lastname@example.org, or Robin Porter at email@example.com with questions or information.
Last year we had our first FunDay in Bonham, TX. We have decided to have it again this year. It will be at the same facility held last year, the Multi Use Complex West of Bonham, TX. The planned date is June 30, 2018. I will send more details as the date gets closer.
Nominations for officers is open as of today, February 15, 2018 until the end of the month. The candidates will be validated and ballots will be drawn up and mailed out. There will also be an electronic voting option. The link will be shared after nominations are validated. Elections will be held March 6, 2018 through March 20, 2018. The positions available are:

We are asking that you send any nomination to Kenny Wall at firstname.lastname@example.org, Robin Porter at email@example.com, or Marlo Ondrej at firstname.lastname@example.org. We do ask, before you nominate, you check with the person to be sure they are a member in good standing as well as interested in being an officer. You must be a member in good standing to nominate as well as vote.
Thank you all for your continued support,
Todd Porter – President, Texas Lacy Game Dog Association
